As you have read on the other pages, The Double "R" Ranch offers many services. Here
at the Double R, we treat every horse, not only ours, as part of the family. We take pride in the fact that we never
use cruel or inhumane methods for training. Here are a few programs to choose from.

Breaking to saddle - Which
consists of having the horse accept the saddle and bridle. It takes about three weeks. Cost- $450.00
Breaking to ride -This training has the horse accept the saddle, bridle and mount from both sides. Then
move forward into a walk. Once the horse does this easily, we move to the trot then canter or lope. This program takes about
four to six weeks. Cost- $800.00
Trail Training -Trail training consists of all the
above programs combined. However this does involve a greater amount of time. With this regimen, we teach the horse not only
to accept the saddle, bridle and to walk, trot, and lope, but also to cross water, logs, maneuver around trees and
climb up and down hills. Program takes about six to eight weeks. Cost- $1200.00.
