I bought my first stallion at sixteen, a green
broke Blanketed Leopard App. I named Cochise. Over the next year or so my passion for horses grew, as Cochise
and I go to know each other. We spent a lot of time riding and having fun. It was one of the saddest
days for
me when I had to put Cochise down due to a leg injury. Following this, I spent 20 years in the Marine Corps
and am now retired from that. Although my service was very fullfilling, my wife Becky and I realized something
was missing. We needed horses. Thats when we purchased a 31 acre farm and named it the Double R Ranch.
We started off with
two horses Dixie and Rebel and now have grown to having a total of eleven horses. There are
two stallions, five mares, two fillys, one colt and a gelding. Each of them have a special place in
